Indulge Me for A Moment

Yes, I know. I haven't posted in awhile. Send me money and I'll post more. I promise.

But, I did get an email from the statistician on the softball team and I have to report what I did for the year.

First, our team went 13-3 and finished first in the league. We scored 151 runs for an average of 9.4 runs per game. And enough about the team. This is my blog.

The statistician sent the team leaders, and I am the sole-leader in 14 batting catagories. Hits (26), at-bats (50), times reached base (31), slugging percentage (.980), runs (27), doubles (5), triples (3), homeruns (4), extra base hits (12), Runs Batted In (22), multi-hit games (7), Four-hit games (2), plate apperances (55) and I lead the team with 1 (GS), whatever that means.

I am also tied on the team with 15 games played out of 16. The only one I missed was the one for the weekend at the cabin for Bryon's birthday, which he didn't even come to on Friday. Bastardo.

And I was second on the team in batting average (.520) and on-base-average (.564).

And that's why baseball is a statistician's sport. If you want to know what any of those terms mean, what they represent or how they are come by, google it.
